The search form on my website is not functioning correctly as the input field is not taking any

My website can be found at I have noticed that the search field on my website does not allow input in Firefox version 17.01. Interestingly, the search function works perfectly fine on Chrome and Internet Explorer browsers. On my website's header, there is a search field located in the top right corner, just below the social contact buttons. However, when trying to type into the search box on Firefox, nothing happens. Clicking on the magnifying glass icon simply redirects you back to the homepage. What steps can I take to resolve this issue and make the search function compatible with Firefox as well?

Answer №1

After making a change in the DOM Inspector, I noticed that it started functioning correctly in Firefox:

<SCRIPT TYPE="text/javascript">
<!--
function disableselect(e){
    return false
}
function reEnable(){
    return true
}
document.onselectstart=new Function ("return false")
if (window.sidebar){
    document.onmousedown=disableselect
    document.onclick=reEnable
}
// -->
</SCRIPT>

However, I realized that by disabling the "right-click" on the webpage, debugging became more challenging. It's advisable not to disable "right-click" as there isn't much benefit in doing so:
