Slider Adjusts Properly on Chrome, but Not on Firefox

This link will take you to the QA version of a homepage I've been developing.

While testing, I noticed that the slider on the page works perfectly in Chrome and IE, but has layout issues in Firefox where it gets cutoff and moved to the right.

I have tried validating my HTML code, checking for empty divs, adjusting the content container, but so far no luck in resolving this issue. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions, I would greatly appreciate your help!

Answer №1

Your code is experiencing a floating issue with the header and navigation elements. To fix this, simply include clear:both before the

<div class="slider-inner">.. </div>
.

Alternatively, you can use the following code:

<div class="clear"></div>
<div class="slider-inner">
.
.
.
</div>

CSS:

.clear{
    clear:both
}

Answer №2

Identify the div below that is nested within the <div class="slider-inner"> and set it to have an absolute position. This method has been proven effective.

<div id="da-slider" class="da-slider">

Cascading Style Sheets (CSS)

div.da-slider{
   position: absolute;
}

Answer №3

An easier fix could involve including the Float:Left property in the .da-slider class like this: .da-slider{Float:left}. If modifying the slider class is not an option, you can use inheritance from the parent class .slider-inner.
