Printing Apex report doesn't show background colors for Oracle

I am in the process of developing a print-friendly page within my APEX 4.2 application. The printer-friendly version currently showcases a report with alternating blue and white rows, accompanied by blue backgrounds behind the column headers. However, when attempting to print the page, the background colors do not appear as intended. Has anyone encountered this issue before? If so, I would appreciate any guidance on whether it could be related to CSS or overlooked settings in APEX.
