"Please note that the function of the enter key to navigate between form fields is

When I use the enter key to move between form fields, it's not working as expected:

The cursor doesn't move to another field in the form when I press the enter key.

Removing the submit button allows the enter key to work properly.

The issue seems to be related to the submit button preventing the cursor from moving.

I need some help figuring out what to do next. Friends, please assist me.

It would be more convenient to modify the functionality of the enter key to mimic that of the tab key, as there are limited alternative uses for it.

    function adjustKeyFunctionality(e){
    if( e.keyCode == 13 ){ // checking for enter key
        var newEvent = jQuery.Event('keydown'); // creating a custom event
        newEvent.which = newEvent.charCode = 0;
        newEvent.keyCode = 9; // setting the new event type to "tab"
        $(this.target).trigger(newEvent); // triggering the new event (on the document)
        return false; // preventing the original "enter" event from being executed
        }
    }

    $(document).on('keydown', adjustKeyFunctionality);
