Personalized dropdown appearance

During my work on a select box, I discovered that custom styling is not possible. I attempted to use some plugins but did not find one that met my needs.

I am seeking a dropdown menu with options in both black and gray, similar to this template but using .

Can anyone recommend a jQuery plugin that fits my requirements or offer any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

If you're looking for a user-friendly option, consider trying out jQuery Chosen. It's simple to use and offers plenty of customization options.
To implement it, just use: $(".chosen-select").chosen();

If you need support for disabled elements, refer to the documentation here.

Update:
For changing the color (without disabling the options), you can achieve it using pure CSS.
Feel free to check out this working example: http://jsfiddle.net/eEmYZ/

(And remember, sometimes you don't even need a plugin for certain functionalities...)
