Optimizing Bootstrap for Tablet Browsing in Internet Explorer

Hey there, I have a question regarding Internet Explorer and tablets.

As I revamp this website and integrate Bootstrap into it, my focus is currently on the small-sized IE browser for tablets. My dilemma arises from not knowing if there are any tablets that actually run Internet Explorer as their default browser.

I don't want to invest time in perfecting the CSS for IE at the tablet size if no one is using IE on tablets. Despite attempting to find information on which tablets utilize IE, my search turned up empty.

If anyone has any insights or suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!

Answer №1

It is a common belief that only Windows phones and tablets come pre-loaded with Internet Explorer as their default browser, and they are the only devices where you can manually install it. However, these devices make up only about 3% of the total smartphone and tablet market share.

Do you find yourself crafting unique CSS specifically for Internet Explorer? Keep in mind that Bootstrap is designed to work seamlessly across all modern browsers, so there should not be significant compatibility issues among different browsers.
