Should I use CSS or look into using Extensions to achieve this?

Answer №1

To create the HTML structure similar to the link provided, you should first modify your view file. Afterwards, you will need to include the necessary CSS and JavaScript code. There are multiple ways to accomplish this task, but the simplest method is to add it directly within the view file as shown below:

<?php $cssContent = 'insert css content here';
$this->registerCss($cssContent);
$jsContent = 'insert your javascript content here';
$this->registerJs($jsContent);
?>
<div id="change-bg-image"></div>
<div id="change-bg-color">
</div>

Answer №2

If you want to achieve this using JavaScript, simply update the wrapper or document.body's style.

An example variable can be found here:

document.body.style.backgroundImage

Enjoy coding!

(You could create an array of image links and utilize setInterval, alternatively, instead of document.body, you could employ document.getElementById("background"))
