styling not displaying correctly in IE8 on internal pages. Strangely, it's almost perfect on the homepage but drops to the right instead of down.

If you're working with IE8, keep in mind that it doesn't support HTML5 elements. Luckily, there's a solution - the html5shiv. By using this script, you can ensure that IE8 recognizes and properly renders these elements. For more information on how to implement the html5shiv, check out Paul Irish's informative blog post.
