Issues with LESS rendering on the Django production server

After deploying my Django website to the production server, I noticed that the LESS file is being loaded but not rendered. Strangely, everything works perfectly on the local server. Any insights on why this might be happening?

Answer №1

The typical approach is to compile or transpile your Less file into CSS and then incorporate the resulting CSS in your project, rather than directly including the Less file.

npm install -g less
lessc base.less > base.css

While it is possible to compile the Less file within the browser by utilizing less.js, it is not recommended for production environments.
