Issue with sticky positioning not functioning properly with overlapping scrolling effect

When the user scrolls, I want to create an overlapping effect using the 'sticky' position and assign a new background color to each div (section). However, despite setting 'top' to 0 for the 'sticky' position, the divs still scroll out of the viewport. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Answer №1

Realized the solution... It seems that position: sticky doesn't play well when both HTML and body have their height set to 100%. After removing it, everything is now functioning properly.
