Is there a way for me to eliminate the space between images in my HTML code?

Link to example on jsFiddle

In the demonstration provided in the jsFiddle link above, a line break is automatically added after each image but not after the cycling text element. I am seeking a solution to remove the newline after each image so that the layout appears as follows (blue boxes represent images and red boxes represent the cycling text element):

Answer №1

To resolve the issue, try using li { display: inline-block; }.

Answer №2

Your use of li elements automatically applies a certain behavior.

However, if you want specific elements to have different styling, you can add a class called text-cycler to the li and apply the following CSS:

ul.images li.text-cycler {
    display: block;
    float: left;
    width: 96px;
    height: 96px;
    margin: 2px;
}

The float: left property is what causes these elements to stack horizontally. Elements without the text-cycler class will not be floated left.
