Is there a built-in Bootstrap class that can enable a full view height setting?

I added this CSS class to my code:

.full-view-height {
    min-height: 100vh;
}

After many searches online, I couldn't find an equivalent Bootstrap class. Is there a default class in Bootstrap 4 that serves the same purpose?

Answer №1

In brief:

Absolutely:

.min-vh-100

Detailed response:

As I was crafting the question, it dawned on me that a quick scan through dist/css/bootstrap.css for 100vh could provide some insights. While most instances pertained to modals, I eventually stumbled upon this particular snippet of code:

.min-vh-100 {
  min-height: 100vh !important;
}

And lo and behold, it worked like a charm. Further digging led me to grep the scss folder with a more specific query, revealing that the origin can be traced back to a line in scss/utilities/_sizing.scss, alongside a handful of similar utility classes.
