Image is overlaid by Dropdown Menu

Today I had a strange encounter on my website LiveGreen

Whenever I hover over the Menu Services, the dropdown menu goes under the image section below it. I've tried every possible solution like adjusting positioning and z-index, and searched extensively online. Despite being proficient in HTML and CSS, this issue is really testing me.

This theme was purchased, so I can't share the code. You can view it directly on the website.

Please assist me with this problem.

Answer №1

To resolve the issue, delete the z-index attribute from your .main selector.

.main {
  z-index: 1; /* Removing this line will fix the problem */
}

Answer №2

It can be quite challenging to achieve because there are limited unique classes to work with. The main issue you are facing is that an element with a higher z-index than your menu is affecting the rendering by moving it to the top of the DOM tree. One solution I suggest is to apply the following CSS code, assuming that the block #aq-block-8801-5 will always serve as the navigation menu container.

#aq-block-8801-5 {
  position: relative;
  z-index: 2;
}
