I am in search of different options to replace swfobject.js

My website is quite old and currently uses swfobject.js to generate .swf files at run time for playing .mp3 files.

Due to major browsers not supporting Flash natively anymore, I am looking for recommendations on alternative libraries that can play .mp3 files dynamically.

Is there a good solution available that will allow me to remove swfobject.js from my site and eliminate the need for Flash without too much trouble?

Thank you in advance!

Stonez

Answer №1

All major web browsers currently have built-in support for MP3 files using the <audio> element (which is widely supported as well). This means that there is no need for plugins or additional measures, and developers can easily control the audio element using JavaScript through the HTMLMediaElement API.
