To prevent click events, consider creating a special class and wrapping the elements with a scrollable container like this:
<div class="scrollable-div">
<div class="child-div noclick">
// anything else
</div>
</div>
Your JavaScript code should look like this:
$('.noclick').click(function(event){
// prevent default behavior of click
event.preventDefault();
return false;
});
I hope that explanation helps!
let myElement = document.querySelector('#myElement');
myElement.addEventListener('click', function(){
return true;
});
