How to Exclude ress.css in Vuetify.js

How can I prevent ress.css from conflicting with Bootstrap and my custom styles in Vuetify? I attempted to remove it from the Vuetify directory within node_modules, but that did not resolve the issue.

Answer №1

To disable this code block, simply add comment tags in the specified file

node_modules/vuetify/src/styles/generic/_index.scss
:

@import './animations.scss';
@import './colors.scss';
// @import './reset.scss';
@import './elevation.scss';
@import './transitions.scss';

Although effective, this method may not be considered the most elegant solution.

Answer №2

There is a well-known issue with Vuetify that has prompted ZeroThe2nd to propose a solution, which can be found at this link.

If you are using webpack, one workaround is to use a plugin to remove reset.sass from the source code during compilation, rather than manually tweaking the library's sources.

This method may not be perfect, but it certainly beats tampering with the library directly.
