Header becomes distorted while scrolling down, then returns to normal when scrolling back up

Something strange is happening on my client's website. Whenever I scroll down and then back up, the header displays a large white area where the address/contact bar should be.

You can see it in action on the site: rijschool-wolvega.nl

I'm not well-versed in CSS and have been trying to fix this issue for days. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :) (If you need more information, just let me know and I'll update this post)

Answer №1

It appears that you have implemented some jQuery for scrolling functionality, but it seems like you forgot to add the stuck class to your header element!

<div class="header stuck">

Make sure this class is added when scrolling down...

Answer №2

Once you start scrolling up, the header div no longer has the stuck class applied to it:

Before scrolling:

<div class="header stuck">
   ...
</div>

Scrolled down 1:

<div class="header stuck">
   ...
</div>

Scrolled down 2:

<div class="header stuck header-scrolled">
   ...
</div>

Scrolling back up:

<div class="header">
   ...
</div>

The issue can be traced back to waypoint-sticky.min.js:

@line 22 | stuckClass: 'stuck';

And also here:

@line 51 | return this.removeClass(this.data('stuckClass'));

This is where the class is being removed.

Answer №3

Update the CSS styling for the topcontactinfo class:

margin-bottom: 30px !important;
color: #fff !important;
z-index: 1000 !important;
margin-left: 46%;
margin-top: 2%;

These adjustments should resolve the issue.
