Having trouble with jQuery in Blogger?

I'm having trouble installing a Facebook slider tab on a friend's blog and I can't seem to get it to work.

Here's the link to her blog:

And here's the tutorial I'm following:

jQuery is already installed on the blog (you can see it working with the hover Pin it button on images), but for some reason, the Facebook tab widget doesn't appear when mousing over it.

Any thoughts on why it's not working correctly?

Thanks for the help!

Answer №1

The jQuery variable is being used in a <script> (line 1090) element before the

<script src='http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.2/jquery.min.js' type='text/javascript'></script>
(line 1543) is added. When the earlier script block was parsed, jQuery had not yet been defined. Although it is possible to queue something before including jQuery, additional code will still be required after jQuery is loaded to be referenced by jQuery's onReady listener, as demonstrated here.
