Having trouble getting the pagination bootstrap class to work properly? Here are some tips to help

Here is a portion of my pagination code utilizing Bootstrap. However, the styling properties of Bootstrap do not seem to be applied. What should I do?

 <ul class="pagination" >
      <?php // if($page_no > 1){ echo "<li><a href='?page_no=1'>First Page</a></li>"; } ?>

    <li <?php if($page_no <= 1){ echo "class='disabled'"; } ?>>
        <a <?php if($page_no > 1){ echo "href='?page_no=$previous_page'"; } ?>>Previous</a>
    </li>
 </ul>

Answer №1

To incorporate bootstrap styles, ensure you include all necessary classes. Take a look at the example below and make sure to add classes for the list item and link elements.

<ul class="pagination">
  <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="#">Previous</a></li>
  <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="#">1</a></li>
  <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="#">2</a></li>
  <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="#">3</a></li>
  <li class="page-item"><a class="page-link" href="#">Next</a></li>
</ul>
