Exploring the possibilities of incorporating Bootstrap 4 or ng-bootstrap elements into Angular 4 development

We are considering the use of Bootstrap 4 within an Angular 4 application by either importing their styles and JavaScript directly, or utilizing ng-bootstrap Angular components for improved performance and compatibility with the Angular app. We would love to hear your thoughts on this topic.

Answer №1

ng-bootstrap offers a collection of native Angular directives that are built on Bootstrap's markup and CSS, making it independent of jQuery or Bootstrap's JavaScript.

PLEASE NOTE
ng-bootstrap requires the inclusion of Bootstrap 4 CSS in your project and must be explicitly installed.

Unlike Bootstrap 4, which relies on jQuery and Bootstrap's JavaScript, I recommend using ng-bootstrap as it significantly reduces the final bundle size.
