Exploring the conundrum of dropdown links in Bootstrap4

I have a little issue with my dropdown menu. The "Documents" link is not redirecting to the correct page.

<li class="nav-item dropdown">
  <a class="nav-link dropdown-toggle" href="./docs/index.html" data-target="./docs/index.html" target="_blank" id="navbarDropdown" role="button" data-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">Documents</a>
  <div class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="navbarDropdown">
    <a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Admin</a>
    <div class="dropdown-divider"></div>
    <a class="dropdown-item" href="#">Merchant</a>
  </div>
</li>

Answer №1

<li class="nav-item dropdown">
    <a href="https://example.com" target="_blank" >Files</a>
    <span class="dropdown-toggle" id="navbarDropdown" role="button" data-toggle="dropdown" aria-haspopup="true" aria-expanded="false">
    </span>
  <div class="dropdown-menu" aria-labelledby="navbarDropdown">
    <a class="dropdown-item" href="https://example.com" target="_blank">Manager</a>
    <div class="dropdown-divider"></div>
    <a class="dropdown-item" href="https://example.com" target="_blank">Customer</a>
  </div>
</li>

modify the href link based on your preferences.

Expecting positive outcomes from these changes.
