Enhancing Drupal Views: Changing Filter Criteria from Dropdown to Autocomplete

After setting a new filter criteria in a view, I am trying to make it show as a drop-down instead of autocomplete.

I have clicked on settings (next to the name of the new criteria), selected Drop down, and clicked Apply (all displays). However, on preview, it still shows as an autocomplete filter. Even after re-clicking the settings of the filter, it is stuck on autocomplete mode.

It seems like the filter criteria keep resetting to autocomplete rather than staying as a dropdown selection.

Could this issue be related to the specific field I created for the filter?

Answer №1

Upon attempting the task again this morning (after encountering issues yesterday), it miraculously resolved on its own?

I initially selected "Show hierarchy in dropdown" under the additional settings for the filter criteria but later decided to deselect it. I am uncertain if this decision had any effect on the outcome.
