Embed a Style-sheet into an Iframe (Facebook Like Box)

I'm facing the challenge of customizing a Facebook like box with predefined image sizes and borders that don't align with our design. I want to override some styles to make it more suitable for our website.

The Likebox is currently embedded via an iframe.

Is there a way to inject a stylesheet into an iframe using Javascript? Or if anyone has alternative suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you, Paul

Answer №1

Sorry, but injecting CSS into the iframe is not allowed for security reasons.

Due to the same-origin policy, you are restricted from accessing or modifying the contents within the iframe.

If you wish to customize the appearance of your <iframe>, you can include attributes such as height, width, and data-border-color. By setting the border color to match your background, you can create the illusion of a borderless design.

Refer to the documentation for further guidance on this matter.

Absolutely, DIY is possible. You have the freedom to customize every aspect of your Facebook Like Box using personalized CSS code. Check out this helpful guide here: DaddyDesign: Enhancing Facebook Like Box Appearance
