Does renaming a page to index.html have any impact?

After restarting my laptop, everything was back to normal. Thank you for the help and replies.

The issue I'm facing is with two identical pages that have the same code. The only difference between them is the file names - index and index2. However, for some unknown reason, the header div on the "index" page appears smaller than the one on the "index2" page, despite there being no apparent differences between them.

Answer №1

It appears to be a caching problem that can easily be resolved.

To resolve this issue, attempt clearing your browser's cache and then refresh the page by pressing CTRL-F5 or the equivalent shortcut.

Answer №2

It appears there may be an issue with the CSS causing this anomaly. I haven't come across anything like it before.

Answer №3

The issue might be due to a line break or an additional space in the original source code. Would you mind sharing the code with us for further investigation? This will greatly assist us in identifying the root cause.
