Disabling the scroll-bar feature exclusively

Is there a way to disable the scroll-bar functionality in Chrome without hiding it using overflow:hidden? I want the scroll-bar to remain visible.

I'm looking for something similar to this: http://prntscr.com/ai5y9k

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Answer №1

implement overflow: auto

this method will show a scrollbar based on the content's height exceeding the window size

Answer №2

The best approach is to restrict the body size to match the window and ensure that the scroll bar is always visible.

body {
  position:absolute;
  top:0;
  left:0;
  bottom:0;
  right:0;
  overflow:scroll;}
