Creating CSS with rounded borders, precise sizing, cleverly placed white space, and smooth anti-

After experimenting with a simple css scenario for creating a card style layout, I noticed that it looks fine on my 22-inch monitor but appears distorted on my Samsung TV with a resolution of 1920x1080. There seems to be a white gap in the border due to anti-aliasing.

Any suggestions on how to make this layout work smoothly across various zoom levels and screen resolutions? Any advice is much appreciated!

Answer №1

It's important to be consistent with your units when styling elements. Mixing relative units like em and % with fixed units can lead to differences in appearance across different browsers, devices, and zoom levels. To avoid this, try using either all relative or all fixed units for a more consistent rendering.

For example:

border-radius: 10px 10px 0 0;

versus

border-radius: 1em 1em 0px 0px;
