Clicking on the Bootstrap tabs causes them to shift position

I have come across an unusual issue with my website. While on the home page, clicking on a tab functions normally. However, when attempting to switch from one tab to another (such as News to Beats, Beats to News, News to Home, or Beats to Home), the tab content momentarily shifts before switching tabs. This behavior is new and was not present before. Has anyone else experienced this problem or know of a solution? You can visit my website at:

To further clarify, when you visit my site and let it fully load, clicking on a tab triggers a fading transition effect before displaying the selected page. Switching from the Home tab to any other tab works fine. However, if you are on a different tab and try to click on another tab, the page undergoes a strange shrinking animation just before transitioning. Any insights on how to resolve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely, G-SCO

Answer №1

It appears that the issue lies within your tab content where you have used span12 elements without a containing .row or .row-fluid element (which is crucial for bootstrap's grid system). To resolve this, you will need to include the container as it provides a clearfix for the floated span elements. However, if you prefer not to alter your markup, you can simply add the following CSS:

.tab-pane:after {
    content: '';
    clear: both;
    display: table;
}

Answer №2

Removing the border from the active item is important. To achieve this, consider setting its color to transparent. Another option is adjusting the padding to accommodate any changes in line-height.

.nav-tabs > .active > a {border: 1px solid transparent;}
