Currently utilizing a bootstrap menu with animate.css, as shown in this example. However, encountering an issue where upon clicking the button, the menu loads above the button instead of below it. The desired effect is for the menu to slide out from under the button.
Here is the JavaScript being used:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('.dropdown-submenu a.test').on("click", function(e){
$(this).next('ul').toggle();
e.stopPropagation();
e.preventDefault();
});
});
And here is the HTML markup:
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="dropdown">
<button class="btn btn-default dropdown-toggle" type="button" data-toggle="dropdown">Tutorials
<span class="caret"></span></button>
<ul class="dropdown-menu slideInDown animated">
<li><a tabindex="-1" href="#">HTML</a></li>
<li><a tabindex="-1" href="#">CSS</a></li>
<li class="dropdown-submenu">
<a class="test" tabindex="-1" href="#">New dropdown <span class="caret"></span></a>
<ul class="dropdown-menu">
<li><a tabindex="-1" href="#">2nd level dropdown</a></li>
<li><a tabindex="-1" href="#">2nd level dropdown</a></li>
<li class="dropdown-submenu">
<a class="test" href="#">Another dropdown <span class="caret"></span></a>
<ul class="dropdown-menu">
<li><a href="#">3rd level dropdown</a></li>
<li><a href="#">3rd level dropdown</a></li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
