Adjusting the positioning of links with bootstrap scrollyspy

Having trouble getting the scrollyspy links to align properly in the center of the navbar. Can someone offer some assistance? Much appreciated!

<ul class="nav nav-pills">
            <li class="nav-item">
                <a class="nav-link" href="#">Home</a>
            </li>
            <li class="nav-item">
                <a class="nav-link" href="#">About</a>
            </li>
            <li class="nav-item">
                <a class="nav-link" href="#">Services</a>
            </li>
            <li class="nav-item">
                <a class="nav-link" href="#">Portfolio</a>
            </li>
            <li class="nav-item">
                <a class="nav-link" href="#">Contact</a>
            </li>
        </ul>

The alignment seems off on this site, but looks fine on VSC.

Below is my CSS:

.nav-pills {
    display: flex;
    align-content: center;
    justify-items: center;
}

I attempted using the flex approach.

Appreciate any help.

Answer №1

To ensure that the ul element is centered, set its width to 100%. Failure to do so will result in it not being able to center based on its own width.
